What drives the price

- Accommodation tier: The single biggest lever. A simple tented camp and an ultra-luxury camp inside the same conservancy can differ by several multiples in nightly rate.

What's actually in a typical safari package
"Full board" almost always means all meals plus non-alcoholic drinks — tea, coffee, juice and bottled water — included in the rate. Alcoholic drinks are a mixed bag: many mid-range and luxury camps include a house selection of wine, beer and spirits, while others bill some or all alcohol separately. Always confirm which applies to your camp rather than assuming either way.
Laundry is not universally included. It's often complimentary at higher-tier camps, sometimes with light restrictions such as delicates excluded or a daily per-guest limit, while budget and some mid-range properties charge for it separately or don't offer it at all.
Game drives typically follow a set daily rhythm rather than an open-ended schedule: an early drive that leaves around sunrise, and a second drive in the late afternoon running into dusk, with the middle of the day set aside for rest at camp. Most packages build in two drives per full day as the standard structure, rather than a fixed hourly count.
Whether your vehicle is shared or private changes what's bundled with the rate. A shared vehicle usually follows a fixed itinerary set by the camp, with the cost split across several guests. A private vehicle and guide are booked for your group alone — you can adjust timing or linger at a sighting — and that flexibility is typically built into higher-tier packages rather than charged as a simple add-on.
