Day 1
Nairobi to the Maasai Mara
Pickup from your Nairobi hotel or the airport around 6:00–6:30am for the drive to the Mara, roughly five to six hours including a stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint. You'll arrive at camp in time for lunch, then head out on your first game drive from around 4:00pm until sunset. Dinner and overnight at camp.
Day 2
Morning Game Drive & Return to Nairobi
An early start (around 6:00am) for your second and final game drive, returning to camp for a late breakfast. Check out by mid-morning for the drive back to Nairobi, arriving by early-to-mid evening depending on traffic. This is your only extended block of game-viewing time, so it's typically the drive that covers the most ground.

Is two days the right length for you?

Two days works well if your dates are fixed and short is simply what you have — you'll still get a proper golden-hour drive and a full dawn drive. It suits you less if your dates have any give at all: with only one night, roughly a third of the trip is spent on the road, and a single quiet drive carries more weight than it would on a longer stay. Road transfer is standard for this itinerary
Flying in usually isn't worth the added cost for a single night once you factor in airstrip transfers on both ends — the time saved doesn't offset it the way it does on a longer trip.
