11 Days · Kenya + Zanzibar
Kenya & Zanzibar Bush Beach Safari
Start with Kenya at its most expansive—Mara plains, Rift Valley lakes, the country around Mount Kenya—then change the horizon completely for four unhurried nights on Zanzibar.
Who this suits
For the traveller who wants two distinct worlds
The Kenya circuit is intentionally full, but not compressed: three nights in the Mara, two in Naivasha and one near Ol Pejeta. Zanzibar is then given four nights, enough to feel like a genuine second chapter.
Itinerary
Day by day
Days 1–3
Maasai Mara
Drive from Nairobi to the Mara, then use two full days for game drives, with the balance of morning light, afternoon wildlife and rest at camp shaped around your stay.
Days 4–5
Naivasha and Lake Nakuru
Continue through the Rift Valley to Naivasha. One full day is devoted to Lake Nakuru National Park before the return to your lodge.
Day 6
Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Travel north to the Ol Pejeta area near Nanyuki for an afternoon game drive and a night at camp.
Day 7
Nairobi to Zanzibar
After breakfast, return to Nairobi for the Zanzibar connection. Flight and arrival transfer arrangements depend on your final travel dates and are confirmed before booking.
Days 8–10
Zanzibar at leisure
Three days to stay close to the resort or choose an optional island outing. A Stone Town or spice-focused excursion can be arranged if it suits the rhythm you want.
Day 11
Zanzibar departure
Transfer to Zanzibar airport for your onward connection, planned around your international journey.
The important detail
Leave room for the connection
This itinerary crosses a border and relies on flights, so it needs to be built around live schedules rather than assumed timings. That planning is part of making the contrast feel effortless.
What is confirmed
Your actual journey, not a brochure version
Accommodation availability, meal plans, flights, transfers and optional island experiences are all checked for your dates. Entry requirements are also best confirmed for your passport before travel.
Two horizons
Build the safari, then let Zanzibar soften the ending.
Roar Safaris can turn your dates into a current itinerary, including the flight and stay combinations that make sense.
